Falcon MobileClient

Falcon MobileClient runs on a bar code scanner or other mobile device to gather data. It offers a simple and straightforward interface that can be configured to emphasize frequent transactions and de-emphasize or hide infrequent transactions.

MobileClient can collect background data, such as item descriptions, from your host system. This data is automatically displayed when an item number is entered, improving the speed and accuracy of data entry.

In the field, you can collect data using any combination of the bar code scanner, keypad, and MobileClient touch screen.

In batch mode, Falcon MobileClient saves transactions to a database on the mobile device. You use the mobile device dock on the network to upload the batch of transactions to Falcon MobileServer. You can review and edit the transactions in Falcon MobileClient before uploading.

In real-time mode, Falcon MobileClient transmits transactions directly to Falcon MobileServer over a wireless connection. If the network is down or the mobile device goes out of wireless range, MobileClient automatically switches to batch mode and saves transactions on the device. When the mobile device is back in range, Falcon MobileClient detects when the network is available and notifies you when you can send the saved messages.
